The Texas State softball program announced the 2019 fall schedule. The slate features eight games with five coming inside Bobcat Softball Stadium.

Game one of the fall schedule will be a home clash with Texas A&M International on Oct. 5. The Dustdevils finished the 2019 campaign with a record of 26-32 but finished as runner-up in the Heartland Conference postseason tournament.

Texas State will then travel to Conroe for a doubleheader in the College Classic at Scrap Yard Sports Complex on Oct. 12. The first game of the day will begin at 10 a.m. and will feature the Bobcats and the Blinn College Buccaneers. Blinn finished the ’19 season with a 44-15 overall record and a fourth-place finish in the Region XIV Tournament. Following the morning matchup, Texas State will take on Mississippi State out of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) at 2 p.m.

The Bulldogs competed in the NCAA Washington Regional Championship after going 35-23 during the 2019 year.

The Bobcats will return home for the next four games over a three-week timeframe. At 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 18, Texas State will host St. Mary’s (Texas). The Bobcats will then play host to Vernon Junior College at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 25. The homestand will conclude with a doubleheader against I-35 archrival UTSA and Navarro College on Nov. 2.

Finally, Texas State will wrap up the 2019 fall portion of the schedule with a trip to Austin to take on the Texas Longhorns at 6 p.m. on Oct. 8. The Horns turned in a 46-17 campaign in ’19 that culminated in a trip to the NCAA Super Regionals for the first time since 2013.

All home games played at Bobcat Softball Stadium are open to the public. Admission for the fall schedule will be free.
