Tennessee and North Carolina played two close games on Sunday at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. In game one North Carolina won 1-0 to force a second, winner take all, game to see who would move on to the Super Regionals round. In another low scoring affair in game two Tennessee got the win 2-0 to keep their 2019 championship hopes alive.

Tennessee pitcher Caylan Arnold got the game two win. In a post game press conference she had these thoughts on her performance:

“It was amazing. I’ve worked really hard this year to get back to feeling like myself and going out there and attacking and being dominant. To have my teammates behind me like that and to make such awesome plays like Kaitlin Parsons made, and she did absolutely amazing, and then have Kaili Phillips behind the plate working her butt off for me, that’s what really pushed me and what kept me going and what kept me fighting the way that I did for this team.”
